CONCEPTUAL ESTIMATING AND SCHEDULING

The estimates, schedules and technology utilized by our team of professionals, provide our clients with realistic budgets and time requirements for their pending and potential projects.

VALUE ENGINEERING

Our value engineering is designed to reduce the cost of a project to the lowest practical price without compromising its function or sacrificing quality and reliability.

Value engineering is an ongoing process during the design stage that analyzes the building components and systems to provide cost effective feedback, which allows the client to make informed decisions that can result in significant cost saving.

BUDGET ESTIMATES

Detailed budget estimates are structured to match each construction component. The estimated dollars are integral to the design management process.

Estimates are reviewed with the project team where assumptions are tested. Unit costs and areas are checked, and mutually agreed modifications are made to quantities, levels of quality, and range of finishes in order to quantify project costs.

CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT

The viability of a project can be characterized by a number of factors. These include :

•Whether the goals of the client can be realized within the available budget and specified time frames.
•If political or financial impacts can be overcome, whether the project or "team" can provide the appropriate services, resources, expertise and commitment to the project to not only make the project feasible, but successful.

Our technical staff and consultants, coupled with our long-time experience in a multitude of building types, enables us to provide an accurate assessment to the owner & design team during the decision process.

DESIGN- BUILD

In the design-build delivery method, knowledge and experience are required to create a successful team in which one entity is responsible for overseeing the architectural and engineering design as well as actual construction work. This can produce significant benefits for the owner including time and cost savings.

COST CONTROL

Guido Brothers Construction Company continually monitors project costs utilizing industry standard cost accounting methods and systems. Weekly labor reports, detailed monthly job cost, and project schedule reports are monitored closely as part of the construction management process.

SAFETY

Guido Brothers Construction Company is committed to providing the safest work environment in the industry today. This goal is accomplished through vigilant monitoring of each project's job site, as well as continuing safety training for every person on our staff. Company superintendents and project managers receive safety training on an ongoing basis and are fully accountable for compliance with all safety, health policies and standards.

We regularly communicate our safety goals to all employees and insist that they actively participate in working towards achieving excellence. As a result, GBBC has an accident / hour ratio well below industry averages.

In 2007 we recieved the AGC Certificate of Commendation for Excellent Safety for Zero incidence rate.

A good safety record is a win-win situation for both the client and contractor which brings a lower overhead cost through savings of insurance premiums, increases in project and worker efficiency, prevention of work delays, and most importantly, provides injury-free job sites.

GBCC has partnered with OSHA for several years as a proud members of OSHA's National SHARE program. Only the safest most reputable General Contractors and CMS are accepted into this elite program.
